Finn is a very goofy and loving gelding with an in your pocket type personality. Copper was said to have came from out west originally where he was used as a ranch horse. The guy the current owner bought him from used him as a trail horse. Copper is broke well. He neck reins, works off leg pressure, has a nice sliding stop, and etc. Overall he is a forward moving horse and not the dead head type. G-Man is truly a jack of all trades. He’s intelligent, confident, curious, and enjoys having different jobs. G-Man has been with his current owner since the beginning of 2024 and has been exposed to a variety of jobs since. He has been trail ridden, worked cattle (is surprisingly naturally cowy for a race bred horse), and has been started and patterned on the barrels (has been hauled a handful of times this year for exhibitions and to different arenas for exposure). G-Man is overall very broke; backs up nicely, reverse counter-arcs, moves off leg pressure, switches leads, and has a very good stop. I would not consider him a beginner horse, but in my clients experience working with primarily racehorses, he is very laid-back for a young stallion. An experienced/patient rider who is confident and knows how to work through the quirks that can come with a young horse would be best! He hasn’t offered to buck or rear and doesn’t act dangerous in any way. G-Man is good for the vet/farrier, stands tied, loads/unloads from the trailer, stalks well, is easy to catch, bathes, gets along great with other horses (likes to play), and isn’t buddy sour. He has no known health issues or known past injuries other than minor cosmetic pasture scrapes. No maintenance required. G-Man has good solid hooves and is kept shod only due to owners preference due to their hard and dry environment. Overall a pretty easy keeper! His only “vice” is he tends to paw at feeding time. No cribbing or weaving. His previous owner raced him on the official track, where he had five outs in 2023. Unfortunately, her husband passed away and her sister later developed health issues, so she made the decision to sell her racehorses to help make ends meet. As much as the current owner likes him, she knows that once he is fully finished, his style is not going to be the best match for her personal riding style. Z absolutely loves ranch work and trail riding, but he also knows the barrel pattern and is a finished barrel horse. He’s the type that will generally run to the level of his rider and has landed anywhere from the 1D–3D. No alley or gate issues.

At this point, his owner feels he isn’t performing or moving quite as smoothly as he has in the past and believes he may be happier transitioning into a more laid-back job such as ranch work or trail riding. He is not currently limping, but there has been a noticeable difference in his movement and overall performance.

Her veterinarian feels that, given his age, he may do well with Equioxx for additional comfort. However, his owner cannot guarantee that this alone will resolve what she is noticing. Because of that, she would prefer to market him for a less demanding job unless someone is willing to further investigate what may be bothering him and potentially bring him back into competition shape.

He has plenty of experience, knows his job, and could be a great fit for someone looking for a seasoned horse without necessarily needing to compete on him.

𝙈𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙞𝙣𝙛𝙤:
Z is a high-strung and energetic type horse but is also the sweetest and most loving gelding. On the ground he is super calm but once you’re in the saddle he is the all-business type. Z is very broke with all the basic buttons and is trained on barrels and also enjoys bringing in cattle. A confident rider with good timing, quiet hands, and who is comfortable and confident handling a hotter, more sensitive horse will get along with him best. He is extremely responsive to his rider, so whatever you ask of him, he responds quickly and with a lot of effort whether that’s stopping, backing, moving forward, or turning. With that said, he hasn’t ever offered to buck or rear. The owner has owned him for 8 years and due to many life circumstances she has had over the years, he’s been on the back burner a lot at no fault of his own! Z is overall good for the vet/farrier, stands tied, loads/unloads from the trailer, bathes well, stalls, gets along well with other horses, isn’t buddy sour, is very easy to catch, and can be rode ba****ck. He has no bad habits. No cribbing, pawing, or weaving. His previous owner had him on the track match racing. The previous owner fell behind on boarding and training payments, so the horse was given up as collateral to pay off the debt.
