Folklore is looking for PAID on-camera talent for a role in a local commercial. The production will take place in Wheeling, WV in early August. Experience not needed!

Grandson - somewhere between the age of 7-13
Grandfather - anywhere from 55-75 and healthy enough that they can walk around easily.

We're looking for a grandfather & grandson duo that are familiar and comfortable with fishing. The duo doesn't need to be an actual grandfather and grandson or even related, but must know each other and be comfortable with each other.

We think the argument about inbound marketing vs outbound marketing is a little outdated. The key is to have integrated communications strategies that effectively use all of the tools available to tell better stories.

That being said, statistics show that when it comes to converting qualified leads to sales and tracking that ROI, inbound marketing wins that debate hand-over-foot.

Good creative matters at every stage of your customers' journey, and we focus on quality brand awareness more than others, but as we've matured, we've begun working our way down the conversion funnel to help our clients see the way their stories are changing lives.

We've been getting more and more calls to do brand photography shoots, which really tickles us pink, Family.

This is a shot that we took prior to the "American Roots" concert for the Wheeling Symphony Orchestra. It's one of our favorite shots from the last month.

We decided to push this part of our creative agency because we felt like good, affordable brand photography was severely lacking in the Ohio Valley.

We've been pretty quiet in 2022 because we've been changing some things up.

Over the past couple of years, we've listened to our clients talk to us over and over again about the need to track and gain insights from the stories they're telling.

We listened, and we acted.

We're going to be making some big announcements that will change the way we approach our business, but we believe it will firmly place us in a tier all by ourselves.

We recently had a new client tell us that, "Working with you isn't about whether you are better or worse than other agencies. What I understood about you early on is that you are something completely different. You don't just talk about storytelling, you really talk about how to tell better stories."

So, how do we tell better brand stories?

It's simple. We understand content, and content is what moves the needle in today's marketplace.

A narrative without tension is a postcard, not a story. One thing we see more often than we don't are clients afraid to introduce tension into their copy, their photography and video, or their earned media.

There is an archaic notion that everything must appear sunshines and rainbows all of the time or customers, clients, and prospects will be left with a negative emotional trigger that will forever be associated with their brand.

I will fight this battle every single day. Psychology shows us that feel good emotions don't push us to change. They don't move us to take action because there is nothing in our lizard brain telling us that there is a danger that must be met.

The question is not whether you should raise concerns and shine your light on the negative emotions that people might be feeling. The question is whether or not you actually have a path to solving that problem.

Because if you do, you're a story they need to hear.

Today was a crazy one, so we're a little late getting this piece about how conflict and tension is what drives our brands forward, but we trust it'll have the same effect.

It’s all about identifying and articulating the tension and conflict in your customer’s story. Rule number one of marketing in an economy of attention is that nobody cares about you. They only care about what you can do for them. Your tension and conflict is centered on how well you can figure out how to solve what is keeping them up at night."
