A healthy diet consists of foods that are rich in nutrients, vitamins, and minerals for your overall well-being, a healthy diet is a must and is the most important element of your daily routine. Thus, one should plan and create a healthy and nutritive diet.
A healthy diet consists of foods that are rich in nutrients, vitamins, and minerals. It has to be a variety of different foods that provides you with all the essential nutrient, as a single food cannot have all the required nutrients in it. It has to be a combination of different foods. A healthy diet helps to maintain a healthy weight and will also reduce the risk of a number of diseases. Generally, there are 5 main food groups which we require to fulfill all our nutritional needs. These are:
✔Fruits and vegetables
✔Whole grains and pulses
✔Calcium-rich foods
✔Protein-rich foods
✔Unsaturated fats
Following are certain tips to create your healthy eating plan:
✔Include lots of fruits and vegetables in your meal
✔Increase your protein intake as it helps in reducing weight by burning out more calories.
✔Include fiber in your diet by opting for wholegrain variety of foods instead of refined foods.
✔Include calcium and iron-rich foods in your diet.
✔Keep yourself hydrated by drinking a lot of water through the day.
✔Cut down on your sugar, saturated fats and trans-fat intake such as cakes, biscuits, cream, butter.
✔Eat nuts and seeds and include fatty fish in your diet.
Take omega-3 and vitamin D supplements if not able to get them through a food source.
✔Avoid junk food and processed food. Also, don’t consume sugary fizzy drinks.
✔Don’t avoid coffee, preferably drink black coffee as coffee has antioxidants and it reduces the risk of type 2 diabetes.Include eggs in your diet most preferably in breakfast as eggs are nutritious and contain almost all the healthy components.
✔Limit your sodium intake and eat less salty foods.Quit smoking and don’t do drugs. Avoid alcohol.

✔✔Get good sleep during the night.
✔✔Eat home-cooked food and try preparing your own meals

✔✔Go for shopping with a list, read the labels on the products and choose mindfully.
✔✔Stay active and do regular exercise which includes both cardio and weight lifting as both are necessary to maintain a healthy weight and strengthen the muscles and body.
