Congress introduces subpoena rights for AI-trained content

“Kristen Ruby disputed Andreessen Horowitz's interpretation in January 2025, arguing that AI models do store copyrighted content during training. Ruby contested the characterization of training data use as statistical facts extraction, maintaining that copyright infringement occurs regardless of how the data is processed.”
