Twice-Exceptional (2E) students are everywhere… and too often, they are misunderstood.

These are children who are both gifted and have a learning difference. High potential paired with real challenges like ADHD, dyslexia, autism, or executive functioning needs.

What happens?

Their strengths hide their struggles.
Their struggles hide their strengths.

And families are left trying to explain a child that doesn’t “fit” into one box.

In many U.S. schools, there still isn’t a consistent system to identify or support 2E learners. So parents hear things like:

“They’re so bright, they’ll be fine.”
“They just need to try harder.”
“They don’t qualify for supports they need.”

Meanwhile, you’re watching your child feel frustrated, overwhelmed, or unseen.

This is where advocacy matters.

At Ready Set Buzz, we work directly with parents to:

• Help you understand your child’s full profile, both strengths and challenges
• Prepare you for school meetings so your voice is clear and confident
• Partner with schools to ensure your child is supported, not overlooked
• Identify programs, services, and placements that truly fit your child
• Bridge the gap between home and school so everyone is working together

Because your child is not “inconsistent.”
They are complex. And they deserve to be understood.

When we get this right, everything changes:

Confidence rises
Anxiety decreases
Strengths shine
And your child finally feels seen

You don’t have to navigate this alone.

Every child learns differently, and great schools recognize that equity means meeting learners where they are. One size never fits all in education, and that is exactly why personalized learning matters. 🍎✨
At Ready Set Buzz, we celebrate the power of seeing every learner, every need.

💛✨ Across the Country Protecting Students with Ready Set Buzz ✨💛

Right now, my work is taking me coast to coast, but the heart of it is always the same. Students first. Families supported. Schools strengthened.

👩‍👧‍👦 For parents:
So many families reach out feeling overwhelmed, unheard, or unsure how to ask for what their child truly needs. I help parents:
💬 Find the right words
📄 Understand their rights and options
🤝 Communicate clearly and confidently with their school district
🧠 Advocate for supports, services, and plans that actually work
❤️ Feel less alone in a process that can feel exhausting and intimidating

If you’re a parent who feels like you’re constantly pushing uphill. I see you. You’re not alone.

🎒 For students:
Every conversation, meeting, and plan centers on one question. What does this student need to succeed?
✨ Academic support
✨ Emotional and behavioral supports
✨ Safe, inclusive learning environments
✨ Plans that reflect the whole child, not just paperwork

🏫 For school districts:
I also partner with districts across the country as a consultant and thought partner.
📊 Strengthening special education systems
🧭 Supporting leadership teams and boards
📣 Improving communication with families
⚖️ Balancing compliance, compassion, and clarity
🤍 Building trust during challenging moments

This work lives at the intersection of empathy and expertise.
It’s about helping parents feel empowered and helping districts do right by students.

That’s Ready Set Buzz.
Here for kids. Here for families. Here for schools. 💛✨

After hearing the R-word used by our national leader yesterday, I felt the need to say this clearly. That word is not acceptable. It harms people with disabilities, reinforces stigma, and signals to others that disrespect is somehow permissible.

This isn’t about parties or politics. It’s about how we talk about human beings, especially children and adults who already face enough barriers. Language reflects values, and when we hear something that crosses a line, we have a responsibility to speak up.

In my work as the Founder of Ready Set Buzz, and as someone who has spent years advocating for children and families, I felt compelled to speak up.

If anyone in your world dismisses it as “just a word,” that’s exactly why the conversation matters. Words carry weight. They shape how people are treated. They set the tone for what we tolerate. And our communities deserve better.

Schools need to do better! 📌 Article: America’s Children Are Unwell. Are Schools Part of the Problem?

The New York Times just published a powerful piece on something families and educators feel every day. America’s children are not okay. Rising anxiety, school avoidance, depression, and behavior challenges are showing up in classrooms across the country.

Schools can be places of healing, but they can also unintentionally add to the strain when support systems are thin, expectations are unrealistic, or mental health services aren’t accessible.

This is exactly why parents need clear communication, collaboration, and real support plans. Kids don’t need more pressure. They need adults who understand what’s beneath the behavior and what barriers are keeping them from learning.

At Ready Set Buzz, this is the work we help families navigate—identifying supports, building plans that actually help, and advocating so students get what they need to learn and feel safe.

🎒 School Refusal Is Not “Just Skipping.” It’s a Symptom.

When a child can’t attend school due to anxiety, depression, or emotional distress, it’s not defiance — it’s a disability-related need.

If your school isn’t offering support, remember:
👉 School refusal often requires evaluation under IDEA or accommodation through a 504 Plan.
👉 The school is responsible for addressing barriers to attendance — not just punishing absences.
👉 Services might include counseling, home tutoring, gradual reentry plans, or changes to the environment that make attendance possible again.

📣 Parents — you don’t have to navigate this alone.
DM Ready Set Buzz for help advocating for your child’s right to learn — no matter what the reason behind their school refusal.
