This scrap piece of wood I cut in my scroll saw is being used to repair this broken drawer side. Here I chisel out the remaining bits of broken wood for a flush surface for my piece to fit in and then secure it.

She's a bleeder!!!! These antiques can bleed oldvstain and tannins through to your paint if you're choosing to paint. This can even show up through your decoupage paper!!

To combat the red bleed through I use Zinnser Bin With Shellac as a primer to seal my piece and even use it under my decoupage paper!!

This dresser will be a piece I use the " Heart Horse" decoupage paper by WhimsyKel Designs.

stay tuned. I have a bit more sanding and some carving to do on the leg repair, and a tad more toning on the veneer repair and this babe will be ready for decoupage, paint, and stain!!
