...sometimes the magic just happens...the right amount of light, shadows, movement and a moment.
I have had the pleasure to shoot this magnificent stallion many times over the last 6 years in many different scenarios, landscapes, different riders & situations. Unfortunately, this time around, he isn't feeling his best, yet the beauty still found us, and we still managed to find the magic.
This photo wasn't mine to share, until Nicole Brass Horsemanship Nicole Brass wanted to share it, but it is not escaping me that it is also Easter week. I tried 3 different days last week to travel here and had impossible flight delays that made me change my trip to this week, completely missing the snow we had been chasing. Guess we know why now!

The talented Kelly Powers is in town with her camera and the photo shoot that I’d imagined her taking with Suspiro has clearly dissolved in his health crisis
And yet yesterday, Kelly moved softly into his stall in the afternoon light that was shining through to capture a few photos of him while he was standing in all his magnificent glory
As she was scrolling through the photos afterwards, one caught my eye and I remarked that it looked like a cross was hidden in the dapples of his coat
I’m not sure what this means, although it took my breath away and I believe it’s his way of reminding me to keep the faith that the outcome is exactly what it’s meant to be 🤍
