We've delayed posting this in hopes that Allen would do what he's done for over 40 years and come in to work. But he has stuck to his guns...and retired. His wife, Roseann, is elated!
While we miss "story time with Uncle Al" and gleaning knowledge about the print business, we know he has earned his retirement. All of his past and present employees hold him in high regards and appreciate all the sacrifices he made over the years to ensure everyone was (and is) taken care of, like family.
In 1979 Allen founded The Print Shoppe with his business partner Vernon Stolle. Then Allen renamed the company to Total Printing Solutions in 2000. In 2018 Allen merged Total Printing Solutions with Postal Presort and squeezed all the printers and employees into the Presort building at 820 W 2nd Street. He and Postal Presort owner Bryan Pulliam worked to build a cohesive team under the business name, Broadstroke, Inc. Bryan will continue to own, grow and evolve Broadstroke for many years to come.
Congratulations Allen on your retirement! You are one in a million and will be missed dearly.
