A quick test for any marketing agency: ask what they charge. If they dodge and push you toward a 'strategy call' before naming a number, you already know how the rest will go.
We just publish it. Foundation work: $500 to $750, one time. Monthly management: from $300. Websites: $2,000 to $5,000 by scope. If those numbers work for you, great. If they don't, nobody wasted a call. Hiding the price was never a courtesy. It's the sales tactic.

THE 10-SECOND PROFILE TEST

Open your Google profile on your phone right now and check these six things the way a stranger would:
β€’ Is your most recent review from this month, or is it stale?
β€’ Is your newest photo from a recent job, or from two years ago?
β€’ Are your primary and secondary categories actually correct?
β€’ Is every service you offer listed, in the words customers search?
β€’ Do your name, hours, and phone match everywhere else online?
β€’ Has anyone answered the questions buyers actually ask?
Every 'no' is a small reason for someone to scroll past you to a competitor. Two or more, and your profile is leaking jobs. That's exactly the gap we close.

"If I actually fix all this, how long until it makes a difference?"
Honest answer: faster than most expect, but not overnight.
A few fresh reviews and a fully built-out profile can start shifting how you show up in weeks, not months. The reason it feels slow for most guys is they do it once and stop. Five reviews in a burst, then quiet for a year.
Trust compounds. The contractor who asks after every job, answers every call, and keeps the profile current pulls away from the one who did a big push and coasted. It's not a campaign, it's a habit. And the guys who treat it that way stop wondering where the next job is coming from.

"Can I trust someone with my online presence without getting burned?"
Fair question. The marketing world earned that skepticism. So here's how I work, plainly.
No fake reviews. No slapping "5 stars" on anything that isn't real and live on Google. Most of the contractors I work with are people I've stood on job sites with, so I'm not about to burn a name I'll see again.
Here's my offer. Tell me your trade and your town. I'll search the way your customers do and tell you straight where you show up and why. No pitch, no invoice, no catch. Just an honest answer.

"What's the fastest thing I can fix to show up better online?"
Three signals, in order:
Recency. A steady trickle of new reviews beats a big old pile. Ask every happy customer, every time.
Responsiveness. Answered calls and replies tell the algorithm you're a live business.
Completeness. Fill out every profile field. Empty sections read as "maybe closed" to a machine.
None of this needs a marketing degree. It needs consistency, which is exactly where most contractors fall off. The fix isn't complicated. It's just unowned.

"How does AI actually decide which contractor to recommend?"
Almost nobody is asking this yet, and it's the question that matters most right now.
Before a customer ever calls you, AI has already ranked you against everyone nearby. It looks at three things: how recent your reviews are, how responsive you are, and how complete your profile is.
Notice what's missing: how good you actually are. That's the part nobody warned you about. The contractors winning today aren't the loudest. They're the ones whose trust signals match their real work.

"I'm too busy doing the work to deal with marketing. Does that hurt me?"
Yeah, it does. And I say that as someone who spent 20 years on job sites with guys exactly like you.
The best tradespeople almost never have the best online presence. They're heads-down working. Meanwhile the internet rewards whoever looks the most organized, not whoever's most skilled.
That gap costs you the easy jobs, the ones that should already be yours. You don't need to become a marketer. You need a system running while you stay on the tools.

06/29/2026

"Do reviews actually matter, or is that just marketing hype?"
They matter more than almost anything else you do. When someone asks Google or AI for a contractor nearby, the system is ranking trust. 40 recent reviews beats 6 old ones every time, even if the 6-review guy builds better.
Feels unfair. Kind of is. But it's also the most fixable problem you've got. Reviews are the one trust signal you completely control.
