Sooooo why are we updating our brand?
Think of it like this, the growth of you business is inherently linked to your brand. When your business grows, so does your brand, and vice versa. Most of the time, business owners focus on keeping up with the growth of their business operationally, but forget about how their brand is portraying those changes.
This is why updating you brand with the growth of your business is KEY to staying relevant in your market! If all of a sudden, you go from being a local, small-town business, to being a national franchise without any branding updates, your audience will lose you in the process.
A great example is Amazon’s logo evolution. What first started out as a bookstore, turned into one of the largest online shopping websites today. They started out not knowing their end goal, and so ad their business plans progressed, so did their logos. Their current day logo is composed of the word mark “amazon” in lowercase letters, with a yellow arrow going from A to Z, resembling a smile. The entire design works together to showcase Amazon’s wide range of products and focus on client satisfaction.
So next time you see your business growing in one area, make sure to give it some attention in the branding zone too.
