**Artist Spotlight: Maike Walbrecht**

For Maike Walbrecht, art has never been about staying within one medium. From ceramics and leatherwork to watercolor, jewelry, washi paper and three dimensional mixed media, her creative journey has been shaped by curiosity, experimentation and a lifelong desire to make something with her hands. After years of balancing art with work and life, Maike has returned to creating with renewed energy, using found objects, collected materials and unexpected combinations to explore themes of love, justice, beauty, pain and healing. Her work is thoughtful, layered and constantly evolving, offering a glimpse into what happens when an artist simply never stops being curious.
