TIP TUESDAY: Forget about follower counts- Come out from behind your brand and show yourself.

You could have 10 followers or 10,000- if people are interested the algorithm will push it. Yes, it's important to grow but it will happen more organically if you have meaningful content that scrollers relate to. Tell a story. It's about human connection.

We want to see who's decorating the room, who's baking the bread, who's making the latte'. Even one-off influencers are less important. Show your employees, show your team. They are the biggest influence of all.

Throwback to last Saturday and the inaugural Montapalooza Music Festival! Sure doesn't look like a kick off to summer fest, does it? SO COLD Saturday. But other than the weather and the loss of many vendors, it went off without any big hitches. And it was a blast! It had been awhile since I had emcee duties, I felt a little rusty even with my notes. 😆
I'm slowly getting my thoughts (and my photos) together, more coming soon.

TIP TUESDAY: Invite your friends to follow your pages; Create posts inviting to follow on other sites. This is one of the simplest ways to grow your following.

Facebook is the only site that has separate Pages for business, Instagram, TikTok, even YouTube you can have separate accounts but it's not quite the same.

Facebook also makes it the easiest to invite your friends to your Business Page, or any Page. Whether on a browser or the app, those three little dots in the right corner give you the option to invite all your friends. (On the browser you get more options such as selecting friends from different groups or past events.)

Add posts reminding your friends you are on different platforms- and try to link (at least on FB) so it's as easy as possible for your friends to follow.

Throwback to 2018 and the Apache Lake Music Festival in Arizona. An entire weekend camping up at the lake and listening to non-stop music! Story time:
When we first moved to Winchendon in 2023 and saw Winchendon Community Park and the lovely amphitheater with Whitney Pond in the background, I knew right then and there I wanted to have a music festival here. After a couple of years and making some great connections (and friends), Montapalooza was born. And now here we are just a few days away!
9 bands, two stages, art and food vendors, and one very awesome day is coming. My hope is to expand to a weekend, but you have to get the first one down.

I'm just so grateful to see a dream I've had for so long (even before moving) come to fruition. Couldn't have done it without Sound Bites Events, Montachusett.TV, Winchendon Parks & Recreation Commission, and of course funding from Mass Cultural Council via Winchendon Cultural Council.
