The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office extends our condolences to the family and friends of Victoria Slater-Madert. Members of the Sheriff’s Office have worked closely with Victoria over the years through her wonderful work with Safe Haven Child Advocacy Center and Children’s Home Society. We started “Beards for Kids” while Victoria was at Safe Haven. It later morphed into a statewide initiative called “No Shave for the Brave”. We have numerous deputies participating again this year and would be honored if you would help us make it our best year ever as a tribute to Victoria’s dedication to the children of the Eastern Panhandle.
