This new year - set a healthy goal and start planning and organizing your life. Sure, it's great to fly by the seat of your pants some days, but if you are a busy parent, student, or just need structure to the countless thoughts bouncing around in your noggin, try bullet journals.

Happy Sunday! Let's chat about color on this lovely morning.

Colors outside of typeface can be aesthetically one of the most important factors when it comes to your branding. In fact, there is a whole psychology that goes behind color choices! Let me explain.

Cici comes in for a brief (consultation for rebranding). She wants to open a bakery specializing in off the wall confections and treats, and I ask her a series of questions about her business. Upon reading her answers, I find that some of her buzzwords are enticing, fun, and playful.

The examples below are two very nice cohesive color palettes. When Cici came in she brought me her previous logo, she had never had professional branding, and instead went with her favorite color palette from some Pinterest selections. I asked her why she picked it, and she said she liked it.

Now, this is an exaggerated example, but I notice it in start up logos frequently. WE pick colors WE like. Case in point, what is my least favorite color, YELLOW, what is the main color in my branding, yellow. I am NOT my target market. Color theory, and market research needs to be the one steering the color wheel (pun intended).

You are Cici's target market, what example is the appropriate color choice for Cici's Confectionary based solely on the color scheme that would bring you through the door if you didn't know what Cici sold?
