After rescheduling and shifting seasons for Cynthia and all of the other pieces and parts that go into putting on the Face to Face Speaker Forum, this night was nothing short of incredible. She was breathtaking.

We are so, so fortunate to get to be a part of this team!

Our friends at WXII 12 NEWS welcomed us twice this morning! First to chat with Saxon Rose to preview upcoming events this weekend at University of North Carolina School of the Arts, and then to hear from Jamie Southern and prepare for what all to expect next weekend at Bookmarks!

So much to do here in our fair city, and we are always honored to be a part of so much of it.

As always, our huge thanks for WXII Audrey Biesk for always welcoming us so warmly to the station and helping promote all that we do!

Late last week, we loaded up the SUVs around here (we all have them - you have to in this line of work!) and headed to Raleigh to put on one of the coolest events we've done in all our years.

9/11 Day was started years ago as a "day of good" to remember the day in 2001 that changed us all. Because this year was the 25th anniversary of that day, the cities hosting these meal packing events were doubled and Raleigh was chosen as one of the new event sites.

All in all, nearly 700 folks came together to set up for, execute, and break down this huge day. 9/11 Day Raleigh packed over 200,000 meals for the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina!

This event took a ton of planning work but was wildly rewarding and impactful. Thank you to EVERYONE who supported these events all across the country!

(And yes...we had to wear hairnets...you're welcome for that photo!)

To our friends in both Raleigh and Charlotte - we are honored to be a part of 9/11 Day next week, a day that will take place in cities all over the country to pack meals (nearly 18 million of them!) to help those in need. This event has taken place for years in larger cities, but this year, to mark the 25th anniversary of that day, new cities -- including these two in NC -- have been added.

There are wonderful volunteer opportunities available in both cities on both 9/10 and 9/11. If you or your group of friends or your office are looking for a meaningful way to mark this day, we urge you to register to volunteer. It promises to be an experience to remember.

We'll be in Raleigh - come join us!

Show up for 9/11 Day — join a Meal Pack in 50+ cities or find a service project near you.
