Twenty nine years ago today I opened this little two room business in downtown Winterville called East Carolina Trophies and Signs. Like any business we've had our ups and downs. From a booming economy, a terrible economy, and dealing with Covid. The name changed during those twenty nine years, we acquired new locations, and shut down some.

The best part of owning this small business is the people I've met. I've become friends with many, seen your children grow up, shared amazing stories, cried with you, and laughed with you. I've upset some customers, which i truly hate happened, and have made some happy during their stressful moments.

I can't thank all of you enough for your support, kindness, and being a part of my last 29 years. I don't remember every customers name but I surely appreciate each one of you. Meeting each of you has been the highlight of owning this little business.

Well that's our team. We didn't lose a game and we didn't win a game. We ran the bases wrong, we picked up dirt, we cartwheeled while running the bases, we threw the ball the wrong way, we twirled around but most importantly we just played. That's what it is all about when you are 3 years old. Thanks Coach Samuel and Coach Katie. They kids had a great time and you were great. Oh yeah, by the way, that one in the middle is my grandson. Had to have that proud granddaddy moment. GO ATHLETICS!
