WOW! What a sale today!

We truly cannot say THANK YOU enough for choosing to partner with us and trusting us to market your cattle.

Today, we sold 734 head, and that number represents so much more than cattle crossing the auction block. It represents the hard work of ranchers and producers, the confidence of our buyers, and the dedication of an incredible team working behind the scenes to make it all happen.

Checks In The Mail

Anyone who has ever run a set of cattle through a sale ring knows that the real work doesn't end when the gavel falls. After the trailers are loaded and the dust settles in the alleys, there’s a whole second shift that starts up in the front office. It’s the paperwork—pushing the pen, checking the tickets, balancing the sheets, and making sure every single producer gets exactly what’s coming to them.

In our line of work, we hear a lot of common phrases when it comes to payday. But perhaps the most famous—and sometimes the most uncertain—is "The check is in the mail."

The world operates a lot on "check is in the mail" promises. It’s a phrase that leaves you waiting, watching the mailbox, and hoping everything clears like it's supposed to. Human promises can be delayed, lost, or broken. Human ledgers can be full of errors, miscalculations, and shortcomings.
But God doesn’t operate on a delay, and His ledger is flawless.

God’s Perfectly Balanced Ledger

When it comes to the King of Kings, there is no waiting on transit, no wondering if the payment will clear, and no fear of a lost ticket. God is the ultimate Office Manager of our lives, and He keeps a perfectly balanced ledger.

In our human nature, if we tried to balance our own books with God based on our own deeds, we’d find ourselves hopelessly in the red. Every mistake, every misstep, and every time we fall short would leave us bankrupt. But God, in His infinite wisdom and love, didn't leave our spiritual accounts hanging in uncertainty. He didn't tell us our justification was "in the mail."

Instead, He balanced the ledger once and for all on the cross.

"He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross."
— Colossians 2:14

When Jesus said, "It is finished," the Greek word used was Tetelestai—an accounting term that literally translates to "Paid in full."

God's ledger doesn't have any missing entries. He doesn't overlook a single thing, and He never shorts a check. Every ounce of grace you need for tomorrow has already been credited to your account. Every drop of mercy required to cover yesterday’s mistakes has already been cleared. His promises aren't stuck in a sorting facility somewhere; they are signed, sealed, and delivered by the blood of Christ.

Trusting the Final Account

As we look forward to another week of unloading trailers, sorting pens, and doing the daily grind of sale barn life, let’s remember which ledger we are trusting.

If you're stressing over the earthly anxieties of this life, waiting on the world's version of "the check is in the mail," take a breath. Stop worrying about trying to balance the books on your own strength. Turn your eyes to the One who keeps the perfect book of life.

With God, the accounts are totally settled, the grace is fully guaranteed, and the ledger is perfectly balanced. You don't have to wait on the mail—His love is already right here with you.
