Applicants should have at least 1-3 years of screen printing experience. Serious inquires only.
SUMMARY
A screen printer is responsible for performing some or all of the duties involved in the screen printing
process. These duties include designing screen print patterns, preparing screen printing stencils,
mixing and loading ink, cleaning machines, troubleshooting technological problems, maintaining screen
printing equipment, and drying and folding screen printed items.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.
— Preparing artwork for print: Burning screens, setting registration, mixing ink. Test printing and
obtaining approval from Screen Print Manager.
— Preparing garments for print: Checking for manufacturer defects. Print-by-print inspection and quality
control. Counting items and comparing to work order if required.
— Print Process: Loading ink, printing garments, trouble shooting technical problems, cleaning
machines, maintaining equipment; drying, folding and packaging printed items.
— Cleaning and maintaining screen printing area. Organizing supplies and keeping space tidy.
Coordinating and strategizing with Screen Print Manager to improve processes and workflow.
— Cleaning screens and re-coating with emulsion. Maintaining dark room.
— Taking out warehouse garbage daily to dumpster. Sweeping warehouse floor.
— Storing and organizing films.
