Just wanted to share some progress shots. Can't wait to inlay glass into this piece. So far everything is recycled. I started with an old table, stripped the finish and did some fancy cutting. After some serious contemplation I began free forming the design using paddle bits of carrying sizes to create the organic, almost extraterrestrial design. Now to router out the negative spaces for glass inlays which will consist of shards of broken glass intrude amiable from glass blowing gone wrong. Thank you Woodbine for all the, love, support and inspiration!!

First day in our NEW studio! Once the woodworking is completed it will be time to fire up the torch and incorporate some glass. It only seems appropriate to start some new work during this period of rebirth we call Spring. Can't wait to share the results with all of you. A big thanks to Jefferson Davis, the last few weeks here have been incredibly exciting and inspiring and have reminded us of why we stayed. Thank you! Keep your eyes peeled this summer folks, Back Alley Glass and Heavy Metal Renaissance are about to take the Woodbine Art scene to a whole new level!!
