SOLD - In case any of you can use it, I wanted to give you first shot. Details below:
Indonesian Carved Hall Bench and Storage
As you can see, this is a very ornate and gorgeous piece of furniture. It is solid and study. I was going to use this as a toy box for my kids but it turns out it is not the right size for the space I was needing. Perhaps you can use it for something similar.
Now, on the front right hand decorative piece on the corner, there is some damage from a dog chewing on it. You can either leave it as it is, remove the front two, remove all four, or simply get some wood putty and round it out then restain it. That is what I was going to do, except there is no reason to do so since it will not work for my space. The lid has been reinforced underneath to make it much more sturdy.
I really wanted to give you a better story as to why that particular little corner piece on the top is chewed up. Maybe something like I stuffed an evil possessed little person into the storage area, then chained it shut before dropping it into the deepest part of Lake Lanier where he punched through the top and scratched his way out. But no, it was a dog. Just a bad, bad, dog.
