Hey all! As publicist for the gorgeous The Findery Discovery Guide aka , I’ve got a few boxes of the latest issue, focusing on upstate design in shopping, dining, art, and music, and I’m happy to drop them off at some like-minded Woodstock/Kingston, places of business if you’d like to carry it! It’s also, and I say this proudly, on the racks at in the city for you downstaters dreaming of life in the mountains! The Findery is a truly beautifully curated field guide and treasure map highlighting independent shops, farm-to-table dining, and cultural hotspots across the Western Catskills and the Upper Susquehanna region. Created by Bill Hovard (owner of 354 Main in Otego and Hudson Made NY), the magazine spotlights some of the gems, small businesses, and makers in the Western Catskills and Upper Susquehanna. This is the third issue and it has two different covers to enjoy; well done, Bill! And everyone…you look FABINSKI!!!!!! The marvelous is one of the most miraculous and historic institutions in the Hudson Valley. Legendary, even. AND still very much a hidden gem to some people! Exhibit A…The ongoing student shows are an incredible place to pick up extremely reasonably priced wonderful art, all of which has been created under the watchful guidance of some of the most talented instructors/working artists on the scene today. This is my just acquired still life from emerging artist Julien George, who is a new student at the school! I’m delighted to be a patron as well as the new publicist for the org.
