I had the pleasure of attending a certification class for our contractors with our client, Fine Paints of Europe, this weekend in Woodstock, VT. Amazing company and products with an unbelievably dedicated group of contractors!

Over my 35+ years in this industry, I have visited dozens of factories: paint, stain, brushes, rollers, rags, masking paper and numerous paint sprayer factories. But last week was a first for me as I visited the plant of our client, TriTech Industries in Union, NJ. Never before have I visited a facility that makes military and aerospace parts right beside the airless paint sprayers that I sell into paint stores everyday.

TriTech was born out of American Products Company which makes precision parts for the military and aerospace industries. Bomb parts are literally made three feet away from a fluid manifold housing for a T3 airless sprayer.

The precision in the manufacturing is unbelievable. If the tolerance for a military part is off by 1/40th of a width of hair, the military will reject it and the $2,000 part becomes scrap metal. The same precision goes into TriTech's airless sprayers.

At this point in my life, it takes a lot to impress me, especially when it comes to anything in the paint industry. This blew me away!

We were so pleased last week to help Spectrum Paint celebrate the grand opening of their first store in the great state of Texas at their contractor event in Texarkana, TX. Jim Williams was there on behalf of GMW for a fantastic occasion!
