As a team of globetrotters, we always believe in makin’ the most of our time outside of work 🌎✈️

We’re sharing a few recent travel highlights, with Ivy hiking around California, Tara soaking up the sun in Aruba, Kevin adventuring through Türkiye, and Aiden exploring Jamaica!

One of the things we’ve realized over the years is that work and life don’t always fit neatly into separate boxes, especially when you genuinely enjoy what you do. The reality is, when you’re part of a small team, it can be hard to fully unplug. But one of the things we love most about what we do is the flexibility to experience new places while still staying connected to the work we love.

Whether it’s traveling somewhere new, taking a weekend getaway, or simply enjoying time outside after work, we’re grateful that our team culture has allowed us to create a life we love!

We are excited to welcome the newest member of our Makin’ It Marketing Team, Aiden Wolfram!

Aiden joins our team as a Social Media and Marketing Strategy Intern from Nichols College, bringing new creative ideas, content creation, and valuable support to the Makin’ It Marketing team!

In his free time, Aiden is a fan of golf and motorsports, a volunteer firefighter, and loves spending time with friends and family.

A few weeks ago at the Indian Gaming Tradeshow & Convention, Tara connected with the team at Gaming Laboratories International over a shared love of cats 😂

The ancient Egyptians believed you can’t build something that lasts without a strong foundation.

In digital marketing, your content strategy kinda works the same way.

We’ve seen from experience, the brands getting the most out of social media usually aren’t the ones constantly selling. They’re the ones publishing content that connects with people in ways traditional ads rarely can.

That’s where the 80-15-5 content model comes in. The Golden Pyramid is the idea that your content should deliver 80% value, 15% community and engagement, and 5% selling.

When most of your content is focused on educational or entertaining content, people are far more likely to trust your brand because the marketing feels natural instead of forced. It comes across less like a sales pitch and more like genuine insight from someone people actually want to hear from.

And for service-based businesses with longer buyer journeys, this approach tends to work especially well!

After talking with business owners out here over the last few weeks, it’s clear, even on a global scale, your online presence shapes first impressions before anyone ever reaches out.

When everyone offers a similar product or service, your website becomes part of what makes you different.
