**EDIT: ADOPTED!!** SAN FRANCISCO, CA: Koda and Sheppa have nothing but love running through their veins. They were found wandering the streets together and nothing can separate them now— they stick together through thick and thin! Finding Koda and Sheppa a home together is an absolute must and adopting them separately is out of the question. They are two very large, very laid back fur balls who are eagerly waiting to be the "best thing that ever happened" to you! PLEASE SHARE!
Animal Care & Control San Francisco writes, "Koda and Sheppa are a bonded pair of GSDs. They were found wandering as strays at the beginning of December, and we were able to make contact with the owners and get some history, but no one ever came for them. Koda is 8 years old and his sister Sheppa (different litters, same mom) is 9 years old. Koda is about 130lbs. Sheppa is a delicate 95lbs.
Despite being a combined 245lbs, they're really easy to walk. Very gentle dogs who love to cuddle with people - they're constantly hosting volunteers in their big kennel for cuddle puddles; everyone here adores them.
Koda and Sheppa are truly bonded. Sheppa leans on her big brother so very much, and he lets her run the show. Koda dotes on her - lets her take the big bed, she gets the first pick of the toys, you name it. He really adores his sister and she really finds a lot of comfort in having her jumbo boy around. They are very sweet together and will play, keep each other entertained, and snuggle for hours. They both passed dog to dog testing here at the shelter. They are very easy keepers - low maintenance, affable, and very go with the flow.
They're in good physical health and condition. Well kept for being XXL seniors!
They can be adopted out of state, but the adopter needs to bring family members and any resident dogs to our shelter to meet them."
