In honor of Donut Day (yes, apparently that’s a thing), here are a few marketing “do-nots” 🍩
Do-not throw random posts online with no strategy.
Do-not rebrand every 6 months because you got bored.
Do-not make your logo so tiny nobody can read it.
Do-not write website copy that sounds like a corporate robot.
Do-not ignore follow-up.
Do-not assume people automatically understand what you do.
Do-not spend money on ads before your messaging is clear.
And for the love of all things glazed… do-not try to do literally everything yourself until you’re completely exhausted (go eat a donut and delegate already!).
Turns out marketing is a lot like donuts. The ingredients matter. Consistency matters. And if the foundation is bad… no amount of frosting fixes it.
