Simon Associates Management Consultants

Simon Associates Management Consultants At Simon Associates Management Consultants (SAMC), we help our clients adapt to fast-changing times. In these times, you don't want to waste a crisis.

Simon Associates Management Consultants was founded by Andrea Simon PhD, a corporate anthropologist, to help organizations and companies that need or want to change. SAMC applies anthropology's concepts, methods, and tools to help clients "see, feel, and think" in new ways as corporate anthropologists. We have developed methods to transform business models successfully, develop growth strategies,

and build better corporate cultures. Offering a full array of idea generation, innovation, and change support, we show companies and their teams how to respond to new economic situations, shifting customer demands, and the need for growth. Often, companies stall out trying to stay true to their mission and models only to find that they are losing relevance. Remember, if you want to change, have a crisis or create one. Let us help you see a new future, one that is all around you. For more info: www.simonassociates.net

Did you know that America is approaching a historic milestone?

Soon there will be more people over age 65 than there are children in school.

That single fact will reshape our communities, workplaces, healthcare systems, and retirement years.

I recently sat down with Cathy Rowe to discuss what this means for all of us and how age-friendly communities are preparing for the future.

What are you retiring to?

Most people spend years preparing financially for retirement but very little time planning what comes next.

In my conversation with Cathy Rowe, Executive Director of New Jersey Advocates for Aging Well, we discuss why purpose, community, and connection are just as important as money when designing the next chapter of life.

As Americans live longer than ever before, retirement is no longer an ending. It's a new beginning.

What if pushing through is no longer a strength—but a liability?

That was the turning point for Dr. Sharita Warfield after more than 30 years in emergency medicine.

On On the Brink with Andi Simon, we discuss:

burnout and chronic stress
redefining success
sustainable leadership
thriving in midlife
why our bodies eventually force us to pay attention
Her THRIVE Framework offers a practical path for high-performing women who want to reclaim their health, energy, and purpose.

How many successful women are quietly exhausted?

In my latest episode of On the Brink with Andi Simon, I speak with Dr. Sharita Warfield, a physician, coach, and author who spent decades in emergency medicine helping others survive while slowly realizing she herself was running on empty.

Her insight stayed with me:

ā€œSuccess taught me how to achieve, but not how to sustain myself.ā€

We explore burnout, resilience, women’s health, leadership, and why so many women have been ā€œapplauded into exhaustion.ā€

This is an important conversation for anyone trying to balance achievement with well-being.

What Louise Olson’s story reminds us is this:

You don’t retire from life.
You redesign it.

In our conversation on On the Brink, we explored the four questions that shape this next chapter:
• Who am I now?
• How will I structure my days?
• Where do I still matter?
• Who is my community?

These are the same questions I guide people through in my Rethink Retirement Masterclass.

Because the challenge isn’t leaving work.
It’s knowing what comes next.

As I researched my new book, Rethink Retirement, A man I spoke with spent years planning his retirement.
He bought the boat.
Mapped the route.
Dreamed of sailing the world.
And then he did it.
Six months later, he came back.
Not because he couldn’t—
But because something was missing.
ā€œI thought I wanted freedom,ā€ he told me.
ā€œWhat I really needed was purpose.ā€
We don’t talk enough about this part.
Retirement isn’t about escaping work.
It’s about replacing what work gave you:
Structure. Meaning. Connection.
I’ll be sharing more about this as I prepare for a June 2 Masterclass.
But I’d love to hear from you: What do you think gives life meaning after work? Learn more here: https://www.andisimon.com/workshops/

We spend decades building a career.
And almost no time preparing for what comes after it.
Over the past year, I’ve been asking people a simple question:
What was retirement actually like?
What I heard surprised me.
Not concerns about money—
But something deeper:
• ā€œI didn’t know who I was anymore.ā€
• ā€œMy days had no structure.ā€
• ā€œThe relationships I thought I had disappeared.ā€
This isn’t a financial transition.
It’s a human one.
On June 2, I’m hosting a live Masterclass to explore how to rethink this next chapter—intentionally, not accidentally. Learn more: www.andisimon.com
I’ll share more in the coming weeks.
But for now, I’m curious:
What do you think people underestimate most about retirement?

What if the problem isn’t that you’re disorganized…
…but that no one ever taught you how to organize your life?

In my latest episode of On the Brink with Andi Simon, I sat down with Lisa Woodruff, founder of Organize 365, and our conversation opened up a powerful idea:

šŸ‘‰ Your home isn’t just a place—it’s an economic system
šŸ‘‰ Organization isn’t a personality trait—it’s a learnable skill
šŸ‘‰ And the real cost of disorganization is not clutter—it’s lost time, energy, and purpose

What struck me most was how much of what we call ā€œoverwhelmā€ is actually invisible work—the mental load we carry every day.

Lisa offers a practical and refreshing way to rethink it:

Treat your household like a business
Create systems that match your life stage
And organize not for perfection—but for freedom
This is about far more than tidy spaces.
It’s about reclaiming your time—and your sense of self.
