"Hard times don't create heroes. It is during the hard times when the "hero" within us is revealed".
Ordinary people became heroes that day. People just like you and I. They did it because they cared, not to be a hero. Simply out of love and kindness. The best in us was brought out in the worst of times. It was gutwrenching and amazing all at the same time. Let's never forget that. Thank you to the ones that never made it home. Thank you to the ones that will never see this. And thank you to one of the best friends I've ever known, who is also one of my heroes...you know who you are 😎
