Offering all things print, web, interior styling, paint color consulting, and project management. With a BFA in Graphic Design from Southern Illinois University - Carbondale, I started my career working as print and web design for Behindthechair.com an educational magazine and website for Salon Professionals. My main duties involved designing the magazine and content for the website as well as t-
shirts, banners, books, micro sites, drinkware and other marketing materials for sale in salons and trade shows across the United States. After spending two and a half years with the company I went to work for Jet Advertising. I entered the position with minimal knowledge of web developing skills and lefts as a fluent HTML/CSS developer. There I would work on a wide variety of projects; designing and building websites daily, as well as being a full time print designer creating newspaper and magazine ads, direct mail pieces, logos, company branding, holiday cards, eblasts, commercials, social media campaigns and much more. Jet Advertising is located in Bloomingdale, Illinois. Two years later I took a corporate position as a designer for Integrys Energy Group in downtown Chicago (now WEC Energy Group). Integrys was the parent company for several natural gas and electric companies. I was hired as a print designer but there I was able to put my knowledge of HTML/CSS to use and also expand upon my video editing and photography knowledge. I designed a wide variety of pieces during my time at Integrys, such as: t-shirts for company sponsored events, annual and sustainability reports for the community, internal and external eblasts, word templates, powerpoints, customer and employee communications, brochures, letters, banners, posters, bill design, event tickets, full scale car stickers, door hangers for gas and electric customers, direct mail pieces for customers, construction/city signage as well as internal design work for the company intranet and print work for the Chicago and Green Bay Offices. I am well versed in the wedding and special event industries, I have spent the last eight years designing a variety of special event invitations, save the dates, wedding websites, programs, menus, seating charts etc. Currently, I am working as a freelance graphic designer.
