On Sunday, we got spoiled by our best friends Shawna & Joey with the sweetest Christmas gift: a full-on “order the whole menu” kind of dinner. And listen… the food didn’t just taste good, it woke up every sense within us.

We kicked things off at Ladder 4 Wine Bar with marinated olives that tasted like they time-traveled straight from Greece, then sourdough + Bellegarde butter (aka: melt-in-your-mouth happiness). The chef also sent out a surprise chicory salad with medjool dates, hazelnuts, and manchego — the kind of balance that makes food lovers go silent for a second.

Then the “we regret nothing” lineup:
🦪 Grilled Pink Moon oysters with spinach + bacon
🥔 Pommes purée + bone marrow + an obscene amount of Périgord truffle
🍋 Cappellini al limone with 48-month parmigiano (straight-up Italy on a fork)
🐟 Ora King Tyee salmon with potatoes, creamed leeks, salsa verde
🐖 Pork chop “schnitzel” with giardiniera + sesame

And dessert? Basque cheesecake + poached pear, because we believe in finishing strong.

This is the kind of meal that makes you want to pull out the camera mid-bite — which is basically my love language. 🎥📸

Don’t stop 🛑 me now, cause I’m having a good time.

3 years ago my life almost ended, and 3 years later I’ve started my own marketing & photography business. This journey has been a long, hard, difficult, challenging, yet also rewarding.

There’s something powerful about capturing food that’s made with intention—and shared with community. 🌱📸

These are a few of the final edits from my first portfolio shoot with Street Beet (📍Corktown, Downtown Detroit). I photographed their vegan brunch, and the bold flavors were unreal, fresh, rich, comforting, and full of life.

This was my first portfolio shoot, and it’s got me feeling equal parts grateful and fired up. Here’s to capturing plant-based dishes that bring people together, spotlighting local gems, and growing one session at a time. Detroit community, y’all are something special. 💚

They’ve updated the vibrancy of their logo colors and leaned heavily in 2026 on brand awareness.

I’m really enjoying the rollout of this marketing campaign. It’s making me want to head to Dunkin' 🍩
