This year we saw more homes hit the market, mortgage rates ease into the low 6s, and homeowners sitting on strong equity. That combination gave buyers more choices and allowed many sellers to confidently make their next move. Around 4.9 million homes sold nationwide in 2025 — a lot of fresh starts and new beginnings.
