BOXWOOD-WEEPING ‘UNRAVELED’
When most of us hear the word "boxwood" we think about a neat, rounded shrub or clipped formal box hedges, right? Naturally growing in an arching mound 3 to 4 feet high and 5 to 6 feet wide, the branches will cascade beautifully over a wall or down an embankment. When trained to grow more upright it has an even more dramatic weeping habit perfect for accentuating an entryway or in a pot. Exceptionally cold hardy to -20F, the shiny dark green foliage remains year round with little to no bronzing. Definitely a conversation piece in the garden

Lee’s Garden has Heleborus / Lenten Rose
$10 in one full one gallon pot.

They bloom from February to April—that 40-day period between Ash Wednesday and Easter known as Lent. Just when the winter doldrums begin to set in, this glorious plant springs to life—a burst of light and hope echoing the promise of resurrection in the midst of darkness.
Although these particular hellebores resemble wild roses, they are not true roses. They belong to the Ranunculacaea family. The most widely known Lenten rose has rich dark-green foliage and light yellow-green to vibrant red petals. However, there are many varieties, and colors can range from a deep blood-red to pure white and subtle variations in between. The bloom has five petals surrounding a ring of small, cuplike pods. Unlike most flowers, the sepals don’t fall but hold on until spring arrives. The foliage and flowers of the Lenten rose are perfect for cut-flower arrangements. When cutting a stem from a plant, be sure to cut at an angle and then cut vertically into the stem about 1 inch. This will help the stem and flower absorb more water and survive for at least a week or longer.

GROWING LENTEN ROSE
Plant a Lenten rose in rich, loose, woodsy soil, and fertilize in early spring. This slow-growing plant dislikes being disturbed and will be slow to recover when moved.
Light: Heavy to light shade
Moisture: Prefers moist, well-drained soil but is adaptable to drier situations
Hardiness: Zones 4–9, remains evergreen from Zones 6–9
Propagation: Division in late summer or autumn is the most common lenten rose propagation method. Helleborus can also be grown from seed but take three years to bloom.

Lee’s Garden has:

Lamb’s-ear (Stachys byzantina) -
It is a popular perennial known for its soft, fuzzy, silver-green leaves that feel like a lamb's ear, making it great for sensory gardens. It's a low-maintenance, drought-tolerant plant that thrives in full sun and well-drained soil, forming a mat-like groundcover that spreads via creeping stems. While it can spread aggressively in rich soil, it's easily controlled and not considered invasive, and it produces spikes of small pink or purple flowers, though many gardeners prefer to deadhead them to maintain the foliage's appearance.
Foliage: Soft, velvety, silver-white, and densely hairy leaves.
Growth Habit: Spreads to form a mat, excellent as a groundcover or border plant.
Flowers: Small, purplish-pink flowers on tall spikes, often removed by gardeners.
Hardiness: Hardy in USDA Zones 4-9.
Growing Conditions
Sun: Full sun to partial shade (afternoon shade is good in hot climates)
Size: 1’ x 2’
Soil: Needs very well-drained soil; avoid overwatering, as wet leaves can cause rot.
Water: Drought-tolerant once established; prefers dry.

Price is $8 each in one gallon pot.
