Thoughts about education and standards
Dear IT community,
After a while chatting with candidates (over 5000 chats), it is quite striking that a main part of their job is generally overlooked.
In a country where productivity and delivery are a priority, a vast majority of developers and engineers misses that standards and soft skills make the difference between a basic career and an outstanding .
Technical skills are often oversold and prioritized, while code cleanness & maintainability, proactive English communication, reliability, and overall work ethics often lacks...
Then let me be clear about it, not knowing technical aspects of a system is almost never an issue, and can often be easily overcome. But having the right mindset and standards will make you a great profile and will open your career to new horizons, bringing it to a dream level.
At Vnited, those skills are NOT overlooked, and are as important as your technical experience and skills.
I'll let you meditate about it, but while aiming great projects and big money, keep in mind that it won't come without great soft skills and standards...
