A logo doesn’t have to explain what your business does. Its job is to be unforgettable.

The strongest logos don’t describe a product—they represent a brand.

Imagine if Apple’s logo was a computer or an iPhone.
Imagine if Starbucks’ logo was a coffee cup.
Imagine if McDonald’s logo was a burger.

They would be more literal, but far less iconic.

Great logos communicate personality, values, and emotion. They create recognition, spark curiosity, and build lasting trust. Your products and services tell people what you do. Your brand identity tells them why they’ll remember you.

A memorable brand will always outperform an explanatory logo.

Do you agree, or do you think a logo should clearly show what a business does?

This is what genius marketing looks like

Every iconic company started somewhere unexpected.

📄 Nokia was a paper mill.
🥬 Samsung sold groceries.
🃏 Nintendo made playing cards.
❤️ YouTube started as a dating site.
🎙️ Twitter came from a failed podcasting company.
💄 LG began as a cosmetics brand.
📚 Amazon sold only books.
🐚 Shell traded seashells.

The biggest lesson? Great businesses evolve. Your first idea doesn’t have to be your best—it just has to be the beginning.
