Last year, I had the privilege of documenting the Children’s Day celebration with POCACOV Lagos. It was more than just a celebration it was a reminder of why guidance and mentorship matter.
POCACOV (Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices) is focused on steering young people away from cultism, drug abuse, and other harmful influences, while encouraging discipline, purpose, and positive values.
Seeing the children participate, learn, and smile was powerful. It shows that when we show up for them, we truly make a difference.
As parents, teachers, mentors, and leaders, let’s keep having the right conversations. Let’s guide them, protect them, and lead by example.
The future we want starts with the children we raise today.
