I’m so excited to finally share my completed senior thesis, Compassion By Design! I presented it at the Honors December capstone presentations and now with my degree complete, I’m wanted to share the full project!

Alongside the video sharing personal stories of loss, I designed a guided workbook and a set of laser cut colored pencils, engraved with the project title to support reflection, writing and creative expression! Everything is connected through QR codes so the video workbook and pencils work together as one experience!

For my senior thesis, I wanted to explore the connection between creativity and healing. Compassion by Design: Supporting the Journey of Grief is a project that looks at how design can create space for people navigating grief, offering moments of reflection, connection, and care.

The first part of this project is a short video where members of my family share their stories about loss and love. It’s a reminder that grief looks different for everyone, but sharing it can bring us closer.
