Weekends are good for the soul ☕️

Transitioning to this new job has been incredibly difficult for me. Ever since high school I haven’t really gotten to experience a weekend. I was either at volleyball or basketball tournament, working, or using the weekends to play catch up on everything I had let slip throughout the week.

I have never worked a 9-5, so now having weekends has been so confusing and I catch myself regularly feeling guilty for not being on the move and doing things all the time, especially on the weekends.

I am very quickly starting to realize that weekends (or any time off, really) are so important for your mind and body to relax and reset for the next week to be better than ever. I am finally getting rid of the guilt and giving myself my weekends to focus on me ✨

I spent today exploring with my best friend and taking it all in and will spend tomorrow completely relaxing, oh and obviously watching the Chiefs game. What does your weekend look like?

Running my own Social Media Management company has been one of my big picture dreams for SO long!

When I found myself in an unfortunate unemployed situation at the beginning of 2022 I decided now would be the best time to take the plunge and bring this dream to life, so here I am.

Learning how to be strict with myself as my own boss again has been quite the challenge, but I feel like I am finally getting a grip on it again!
