Love seeing the future of hospitality in action! 🙌🏾

My wife Shelly and I stepped out to support our good friend Antwon Brinson and his amazing business, Culinary Concepts AB. They hosted a GO Cook pop-up for their 23rd class at Albemarle CiderWorks. I've been working with Antwon and his team for years now, and nights like this never get old.

Every dish on the menu was prepared by the students. It's always great to see where these folks start out and how far they come in just a few weeks. 🍽️

I'm incredibly honored to be receiving the 2026 J. F. Bell Sr. Vanguard Award from the Minority Business Alliance of the Charlottesville Regional Chamber of Commerce. 🏆

Most of my work is about putting the spotlight on other people, so being on this side of it feels a little different. Thank you to the MBA for this recognition. It means the world!

Earlier this year, I completed the Tourism for All program, the CACVB's initiative helping local businesses and organizations make Charlottesville and Albemarle more welcoming for everyone. 🙌🏾

I learned alongside an amazing group of entrepreneurs and community leaders, and the biggest thing I took back to 4Z Digital was how important it is to communicate in a way all people can understand. Plainer language. Alt text and captions. Visuals that reflect the people we're trying to reach. And asking who a draft leaves out, whether that's someone using a screen reader, someone new to town, or someone who's never felt like an event was meant for them.

Grateful to the CACVB for building this program and to my cohort for making it worth every session. 👏🏾

Life gets busy, and it's easy to jump straight into emails and deadlines. So I try to take a few quiet minutes first. ☕ That's when I set an intention for the day, whether it's calm, focus, patience, peace, whatever...

I don't always pull it off. Some days you just don't have the time. But I'm making it a habit, because when I do, I work better, faster and more creatively.

I finally started a blog! 🎉 It's something I've been meaning to do for a while now, a place to share some of the thoughts and lessons I've picked up along the way.

The first one is about something I've noticed since starting 4Z Digital. The organizations getting the most out of their marketing are the ones willing to pay good people to do the work.

💡 You don't need a professional for everything, but a photographer at your annual event, someone dedicated to capturing content, or a bookkeeper a few hours a month can make a real difference over time.

The Best In Black Cville Awards Ceremony at Live Arts brought everyone together to celebrate Black excellence in all its forms. 🙌🏾

Looking back, the whole Soul of Cville festival was incredible from start to finish. From the Legacy Run at the Jefferson School to the Legacy Lounge at the Fralin to the party at IX Art Park and everything in between, this celebration just keeps getting better every year!

I recently turned 41, and I'm feeling grateful for the journey. 🙌🏾

Looking back, my path has taken me from local newsrooms to running my own business. I got my start in broadcast, working across multiple news stations, eventually finding my niche crafting commercials and promotions, shaping stories and messaging for businesses and organizations.

That passion led me to launch 4Z Digital, and for over 6 years now I've had the privilege of serving 50+ clients across Charlottesville and beyond.

It's been quite a journey, and I'm still growing, learning, and evolving every single day. Here's to the next chapter. 🥂

Last weekend I had the pleasure of moderating the "Clicks to Customers" marketing panel at the Black Business Expo. 🎤

I sat alongside three panelists bringing very different experience to the table:
Yolonda Burgess, Price Thomas, and Ed Gillespie.

Trust, storytelling, turning attention into real revenue. This is the kind of conversation that moves the needle for small business owners, and I never get tired of being in those conversations. 🗣️

I also got to rep Discover Black Cville with the Visit Charlottesville mobile Visitor's unit, connecting people with the best of what our community has to offer. 🙌🏾

Community, commerce, and culture. That's what it's all about!
