The Best In Black Cville Awards Ceremony at Live Arts brought everyone together to celebrate Black excellence in all its forms. 🙌🏾

Looking back, the whole Soul of Cville festival was incredible from start to finish. From the Legacy Run at the Jefferson School to the Legacy Lounge at the Fralin to the party at IX Art Park and everything in between, this celebration just keeps getting better every year!

I recently turned 41, and I'm feeling grateful for the journey. 🙌🏾

Looking back, my path has taken me from local newsrooms to running my own business. I got my start in broadcast, working across multiple news stations, eventually finding my niche crafting commercials and promotions, shaping stories and messaging for businesses and organizations.

That passion led me to launch 4Z Digital, and for over 6 years now I've had the privilege of serving 50+ clients across Charlottesville and beyond.

It's been quite a journey, and I'm still growing, learning, and evolving every single day. Here's to the next chapter. 🥂

Last weekend I had the pleasure of moderating the "Clicks to Customers" marketing panel at the Black Business Expo. 🎤

I sat alongside three panelists bringing very different experience to the table:
Yolonda Burgess, Price Thomas, and Ed Gillespie.

Trust, storytelling, turning attention into real revenue. This is the kind of conversation that moves the needle for small business owners, and I never get tired of being in those conversations. 🗣️

I also got to rep Discover Black Cville with the Visit Charlottesville mobile Visitor's unit, connecting people with the best of what our community has to offer. 🙌🏾

Community, commerce, and culture. That's what it's all about!

This year's was something special! 🙌⁠
I've been working with the for a few years now, but this year I got more involved with the programs.⁠
⁠
I had the privilege of introducing the , one of my favorite events of the festival. The energy in that room is unlike anything else, and the mission behind it is something I believe in: supporting entrepreneurs!

I also introduced several sessions this year, from designing with LEGOs to NASA technologies 🤯, to a conversation about building the hospitality workforce with my guy .⁠

Two days of the Downtown Mall Block Party rounded it all out. Music, dancing, performances... an absolute blast from start to finish!⁠ 🎉

It was a week full of ideas, art, and ideas, and a good reminder of why this community is so special.⁠
