The photo's on our website were laughable out of date. We're just about to push the new ones live this week but it's taken us a while.

Yes we could have filled our site with lots of stock images whilst we had new images taken but do you know what, that's not really us (literally!).

Stock images certainly serve a purpose. A survey by Referral Rock at the end of last year found that 69% of respondents get stock images from free sources, such as Unsplash and Pexels. Paid stock images are also a popular option, with 52% of marketers using them.

But on a scale of 1 to 10 (1 meaning least effective and 10 meaning most effective), the respondents say stock images stand at 5.76 for communicating what a brand stands for. In contrast, original images got a whopping 9.33 out of 10 for effectively communicating what a brand stands for.

We we have to agree especially as a service based business, it is after all important to see and know who your working with.

At Ri Web this Christmas, we are going to be taking part in Operation Christmas Child.

We will be packing shoe boxes full of gifts to be sent to children in need around the world.
