Often we would be the one who has laid the foundation, the one who paved the way, but if we are not keeping up with time we will be replaced by the ones who will walk behind us on the same path we pawed.
And sometimes no matter how you try, no matter how you change. You will be always replaced by someone.
Either ways if you are the one to start the path, or make a mark you will be always remembered.

10 Interesting facts of Maha Shivaratri.

1) Mahashivratri or great night of Shiva is a popular Hindu festival which is celebrated in India as well as Nepal.

2) According to the Hindu calendar, Mahashivratri is celebrated on the new moon day of ‘falgun’ month of Hindu calendar.

3) Mahashivratri is celebrated to mark and owe our respect towards Lord Shiva, an important deity in Hindu religion.

4) Religious texts say that Mahashivratri is the auspicious day when Lord Shiva married goddess Parvati.

5) On the day of Mahashivratri, people visit temples to take blessings of Lord Shiva and goddess Parvati and become blessed.

6) People observe fast whole day by only drinking water or observing dry fast without having a single drop of water.

7) It is believed that observing fast on the day of Mahashivratri will bring good luck to them and their families.

😎 During night, large processions called as “Shiva Baraat” are carried out where a person becomes Shiva and rides an ox.

9) Other people in this procession dress themselves as ghosts, saints etc and join the ‘baraat’ with dancing and singing.

10) People align themselves and stand for long hours at the famous pilgrimages and temples to offer prayers to Lord Shiva.

या वीणावरदण्डमण्डितकरा या श्वेतपद्मासना।
या ब्रह्माच्युत शंकरप्रभृतिभिर्देवैः सदा वन्दिता
सा मां पातु सरस्वती भगवती निःशेषजाड्यापहा॥१॥

Meaning – Salutations to Devi Saraswati, Who is pure white like Jasmine, with the coolness of Moon, brightness of Snow and shine like the garland of Pearls; and Who is covered with pure white garments, Whose hands are adorned with Veena (a stringed musical instrument) and the boon-giving staff; and Who is seated on pure white Lotus, Who is always adored by Lord Brahma, Lord Acyuta (Lord Vishnu), Lord Shankara and other Devas, O Goddess Saraswati, please protect me and remove my ignorance completely.

As per Hindu mythology, Bhai Tika celebrates the beautiful bond between Lord Krishna and his sister Subhadra. After killing the evil demon Narakasura, Lord Krishna visited his sister Subhadra who welcomed him with open arms and with some sweets and flowers. Hence, this day was recognized as Bhai Tika. Similarly, it is also said that this day also marks the day, Yama, the God of Death also visited his sister, Yami. Based on this, Bhai Tika is also known as Yama Dwitiya.
