Sometimes the organization grows beyond the vision that first built it.
Not because the vision was wrong.
Because the organization lived into it.
It grew. Its people changed. Its influence expanded. And somewhere along the way, what once felt like a clear picture of the future can begin to feel a little too small for what the organization has become.
I think this is one of the more complicated seasons for a founder.
There can be a tendency to hold tightly to what worked - to the original vision, the original way of doing things, even the original version of the brand - because those things carry so much history.
But honoring the past doesn't mean building the future around it.
Sometimes the work is to go back to the foundation and ask what it's becoming and what the next season will require.
That kind of reflection can be uncomfortable.
But it can also be where the next chapter begins.
Because growth isn't always about adding more.
Sometimes it's about giving the organization permission to become what it has been growing toward all along.
