This time of year invites the slowing down and introspection of the journey over the last year.

Choices made. Obstacles faced. Outcomes that may or may not have come about as planned. Growth. Loss.

All of it is the culmination of who and where you are today. The you that journeyed through 2025 and grew with each challenge and decision. The you that fought unseen wars behind the scenes, wrestled with the kind of heavy decisions that leaders carry, and persevered despite factors that attempted to steal your attention.

Maybe this year wasn’t what you expected.
But maybe, just maybe, it was what it needed to be instead.

Maybe things didn’t go the way you had anticipated - but the result yielded greater breakthrough than you had pictured. The paths you had chartered took some unexpected turns, leading you to character growth that wouldn’t have happened with the shortcut.

Whatever this year was, take it all in. The good. The not so great. The joys. The sorrows.

Let it show you what it needed to, then shake off the dust and set your expectations to the fresh page that’s about to turn with the New Year. Keep going. Begin again.

This year was a pivot, a restructuring.

I knew going into 2025 there would be many new beginnings - but certainly had no idea to what extent.

It brought Anneli Hansson along my path, a timely introduction to her Brand Facilitation Bootcamp earlier in the spring - which was such an incredible boost of confidence and community. To join others from across the world around the mutual passion of helping others find alignment and clarity in their brands was the challenge and encouragement that I needed - at the right time.

This has led to joining her Brand Rebels for Good community, where I have yet again found myself surrounded by creatives looking to make a greater impact in the world by showing up uniquely as they are - and helping others do the same with their organizations.

What began as a tentative step in a new direction a couple of years ago has transformed into a full fledged pivot from Designer to Brand Strategist + Creative Director.

And needless to say, I am excited to see what 2026 is going to bring.

When identity is defined, direction follows.

Your brand is your identity - the truth of who you are, what you stand for, and the experience you’re here to create.

Brand strategy is the direction that flows from that truth - the roadmap that guides decisions, growth, and leadership.

Before you scale your organization, there are questions that deserve your attention.

Do you know who you are - or only what you do?
Is your growth aligned with your purpose, or simply driven by momentum?
Can your team clearly articulate your identity, or does it live only in your head?
Are decisions being made from strategy, or from urgency?

These aren’t abstract questions.

They shape your culture, your communication, your leadership, and the future you’re building. Scaling doesn’t require more effort or more pressure.

One rooted in second-guessing or inconsistency… or one grounded in clarity and alignment.

That clarity doesn’t happen by accident.

It’s created through a solidified brand - one that’s deeply understood and intentionally defined.

Brand strategy becomes the roadmap from there.

Nine years of building, listening, refining, and becoming.

What began as a vision has grown through seasons of clarity, stretching, courage, and trust. Each chapter has asked for deeper alignment, greater honesty, and more faith in the process.

This work has been about building what didn’t exist yet - learning as I went, staying rooted in identity even as the shape evolved. Grateful for every client, conversation, and moment that shaped the work into what it is today.

Business has a way of revealing us. Not to expose us - but to grow us.

Because business magnifies identity.

The places you feel stuck personally often become the same places your organization struggles to move forward.

When a leader hesitates, the brand hesitates. When clarity is missing internally, it shows up externally. When purpose feels distant, the organization drifts.

This isn’t about fault. It’s about awareness.

Your business is holding up a mirror so you can see what’s ready to be strengthened, healed, or reimagined.

I started my first business in high school, doing wedding and portrait photography. At the age of 17, I was hired for my first wedding.

When I began photography, I was immediately drawn to the way light hit objects. It was as if the world suddenly became comprised of compositions, framed in small windows that made up the larger scene.

The more I ventured into portraits and working with humans - embracing people's discomfort at being in front of the lens, guiding the journey of relaxing into the process, noticing the way couples would interact - the more I fell in love with this incredible ability to capture stories unfolding right in front of me.

My love of story and identity has taken on various roles over the years. Photography was just the starting place for me; the vehicle through which I began to sharpen my eye.

I've carried many titles in the years of running my branding studio, but each has only ever been the way I'm able to lean into this love of story and identity - and invite others into the journey as well.

It is truly such an honor to be able to work alongside organizations in the role of Brand Strategist and Creative Director. I find joy in facilitating the uncovering of identities that already exist - but just need guidance in how to unlock and release for the world to see.
