“Kids, this is what we called a VHS tape.”

I feel like I have been slacking in posting some of what I think has been my best work this year. For At the Movies at in July, we went into an all-out 90’s Blockbuster theme. I had the idea for our invites to be skeuomorphic VHS tapes, similar to the ones we’d spend an hour picking out on a Friday night 25 years ago while the carryout pizza in the car was getting cold. So with that in mind, I did my best to make them as realistic as possible as I included familiar stickers and design styles that you’d find on the real deal. Not to mention it’s true to size (and the rounded corners help sell it a bit too).

All in all, this may be my favorite print piece of all time. As much as I’d wear that badge proudly, I’m always looking to up my game. Here’s to hoping I can top it one day.

Digging in the archives this morning, I remembered this project I worked on with a few years back. Storytelling is an essential part of the branding process and I feel pretty accomplished being able to tell their story.

Here’s another message series art project for from last year. It’s one of my favorites due to its simplicity in imagery and concept. For this series, we studied the parables Jesus told His followers and how each had a pretty unexpected ending and effect on all who heard them.

I’ve failed at posting some of the message series art I’ve recently produced for (and some not so recently), so I thought I’d pick it back up again. This was for a stand alone weekend teaching on the Great Commission and it is easily one of my all time favorite message designs.

A little throwback to the last time I did a cheap custom logo sale. is a graphic designer who didn’t want to design his own personal logo because he wanted a fresh perspective. He still uses this monogram mark to this day so I have a good feeling I did my job well enough. 😁

A little detailed look at the differences (there are very few) between this year’s Easter artwork/theme and the series we just wrapped for . I stepped a little out of my comfort zone when it came to beveled type, but I think it turned out great.  Shout out to for the killer typeface, BN Sleepy Hollow. This guy cranks out incredible work and practically gives it away. Go buy a few of his fonts!

⚠️ CHEAP LOGOS! ⚠️

For the entire month of May, I am designing logos, apparel graphics, or really any other small scale design project every day, and I’m stoked!

As a graphic designer with over 15 years of branding experience, I love a good, simple, timeless logo and I’m sure I can design one for your startup, rebrand, or passion project. I typically charge at least $750 for a very basic logo package (and upwards of $2,000), but because I know how hard it can be to get started on that project, I wanted to offer my services starting at a mere $200.

What do you get for $200? A simple logo package with 2 alternative logos for you to use in any situation you may need.

⚠️ CHEAP DESIGN! ⚠️

Now that I’ve got your attention, I wanted to introduce a new challenge I’ve imposed upon myself for the entire month of May. I figured if I can design most things pretty efficiently, why couldn’t I do one project per day? I also thought about a lot of people I know who are struggling to find that first step when starting a business or idea and how they’re slow to pull the trigger on branding or apparel because typically that can cost too much.

So I introduce to you DesignSprint. For the entire month of May, I plan on doing one project every day (I may regret this) and for pretty cheap for those in desperate need of good design.
