SOFTLY DOES IT 🤍

This chest of drawers has been given a fresh new look in Rolling Fog Light, a beautifully soft neutral that works effortlessly in both traditional and contemporary interiors.

The gentle tone highlights the clean lines of the piece, while the brass campaign style handles add warmth and character.

SAVED... NOT REPLACED 🩶

This week has been all about furniture transformations in the workshop, and this sideboard is one of four beautiful pieces we've had the pleasure of working on.

Made from pine, it originally served as a small dresser in a family-run butcher's shop, displaying jarred goods and produce for customers. Over time the finish had yellowed and the piece was showing its age.

With its Dark Lead finish, stripped and waxed top, and new hardware, this once-tired piece is ready for many more years of use.

There's something incredibly rewarding about preserving a piece of family history whilst making it suitable for modern living.

This week we completed a kitchen transformation in a beautiful holiday lodge in Cheddar. The original laminate coating on the doors and drawers had begun to fail, a common issue in lodges and homes where warmer temperatures can cause the adhesive beneath the laminate to weaken over time.

Rather than replacing the kitchen, we carefully removed all of the failing laminate before professionally refinishing the doors, drawers and cabinetry in a durable painted finish. With strict site guidelines in place, we colour-matched the original scheme as closely as possible to maintain the lodge's approved appearance whilst giving it a fresh new lease of life.

The result is a smart, hard-wearing finish that won't suffer the same peeling and bubbling problems associated with laminate coverings.

MOODY HUES 🩶

Today we finished this gorgeous kitchen makeover using a deep dark lead colour to bring contrast, and character to this room.

Paired with a mix of old iron effect pull and cup handles, the finished result feels classic, elegant, and refreshed.

THE FINISHING TOUCH 🪑

After completing a recent kitchen project, we were asked to refresh a dining table and chairs to match the room’s soft pastel palette.

Refinished in Aquamarine Mid, this set now feels fresh, modern, and perfectly in keeping with the rest of the space

BLOOMING BEAUTIFUL 🌸

This carved TV cabinet has had a complete transformation, turning a once dark piece into something light, fresh and full of charm.

Positioned beside the patio doors overlooking the cottage garden, the floral panels sit perfectly against the soft neutral paint, helping to bring the outdoors in and create a calm, cheerful feel within the room.

FROM FORGOTTEN TO FABULOUS

Well… this one didn’t come quietly!

With broken legs, missing mouldings, and crumbling wood, this French style bedroom set needed a full rescue mission.

Now rebuilt and refinished in a soft blush pink with beautiful gold leaf detailing.

Proof that even the most tired pieces can be brought back to life with a little patience and a lot of work.

This is not a commission, so this set is now ready to head off to a new home.

FROM TIRED RENTAL TO MARKET READY 💙

We recently completed a kitchen transformation in a home that had been let out for a number of years. Before going on the market, the owners wanted to give the space a fresh, updated feel.

The original faux wood laminate was starting to peel and had definitely seen better days. After stripping back and careful preparation, we refinished this kitchen in Bone China Blue, a soft, timeless shade that has created a clean, calm, and modern space ready for its next chapter.
