Unlike any of my talks and speeches, this one is different.

Pride has no value but why do we keep it?
Peace is free but why is it hard to find?

Last month, I gave a Career talk to the graduating students of Lipata National Highschool.

While setting a goal and dreaming for a better life is good, it is also very very important that we check our hearts: Are we truly happy? Am I at peace? Is it worth trading my health?

Because for me:

I am not successful if I have a house, only to live alone.

I am not successful if I have everything, only to enjoy nothing because I am in the hospital bed.

I am not successful if I have money, only to be anxious about people I stop talking to.

I am not successful if I achieve my dreams, only to be the reason of other people’s misery.

I am only successful if I have a healthy family, a stable income, good relationship with God and above all peace in my heart.

Because anything that costs you peace is already very expensive.

Let go and let God what you can’t control.
Maybe the burden is no longer for you to carry but God’s.

Be mindful of your pride because it steals your joy and costs your peace.

Do not compare and ask God’s grace to be happy with what you have.

Go set that goal, reach your dreams, but make sure it makes you happy, it feeds you and your family, and above all, it gives you peace.

Sit down. Reflect and find your Ikigai.

May all your dreams come true with pure joy, peace and happiness.

Glad to conduct Grab Asenso Masterclass about AI for Small Business owners specifically for Grab Merchants.

The gist of the talk is, 𝗔𝗜 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗵𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻.

AI is here to help us work smarter.
Humans cannot compete AIs when it comes to speed and efficiency, as much as AI cannot compete with human's accuracy and precision.

That's why both come hand in hand.

AI starts the job, while humans finish the job.

Some tools I recommend for small business owners, the 3 Cs that I consider my work besties: ChatGPT, Canva and Capcut.

Use ChatGPT to generate ideas, use Canva to generate posters, and use Capcut to edit templated videos.

While it is still good to invest in high quality photos and videos, what comes handy, more practical and affordable as a starter is to use generic template and make it yours.

There are many AI-enabled tools and platforms that you can explore.

Go inside Tiktok, it's a gem. There's so much to discover.
Go inside, Gemini it's another world.
If you are shy, use Teleprompter or tell AI to clean your voice,
you'd be surprised how helpful it is.

There are a lot that you can use, ask ChatGPT for the list :)

This is the good side of AI.

The dark side, maybe we can talk in another time.

At the end of the day, you have the final say on your work.

AI helps - but you decide what's good to go.

Gave a talk to Grab Merchants earlier today about AI for Business.

I remember back in the day when we have to manually do almost everything - mind mapping, drafting designs, designing long hours on photoshop, resizing photos depending on use, manually adding elements and even doing lasso tool to cut an image.

But when Canva was first introduced, one of my fave features is how it enables deleting background.

As business owners, your focus is running the business and I know designing is another headache or the least of your concern. While it’s good to outsource it or hire an agency, but for beginners, I suggest you capitalize on free AI tools like chatgpt for content ideas and Canva for AI-generated pubmats.

Of course, it needs human eyes for finishing touches. That’s where you come in.

AI is not scary. As I say, or as I consider it, AI can be your personal assistant or can be your work bestfriend.

Tour de Cebu is always a remarkable experience.
Every year, it writes a new story.

Two vans. Two teams.
One mission: to capture the stories of the rolling museum across the islands of Negros.

It takes a village with shared goals and strong work ethics to make it all work.

It’s not just enduring the scorching sun, the sudden rain, editing and writing captions while on the move, waking up at 5 AM for call time, or the late-night chikas and feedback sessions over beer (and ice cream).

It’s the small, essential moments—checking if we’re on the right track, making sure the advance party is ahead of the rolling cars, remembering to eat, and confirming that no one is lost in the mountains of Negros.

We may have tired muscles and sleepless nights, but we never forget to laugh, have fun, and learn from one another.

This is our TDC story—from the POV of the media team.
