Feathers and Fury.

In this set with Julie, I wanted to create something visually striking. Using a combination of deep shadows, highlights, and purple/blue lighting with a clean backdrop to isolate the subject distractions are kept to a minimum, making the model pop or stand out as intended.

The leopard suit paired with a feathered garment give a sense of drama, theatricality, and transformation.

Lastly, to pull everything together, I shot the subject at a low angle to intensify emotions of elegance, power, and primal energy.

In this set I aimed for a composed photo with a soft, natural lighting. Highlighting the details of the tattoos on her back and arms was a must.
The color palette created a serene, intimate atmosphere achieved through a healthy balance of light and shadow which also created a sense of depth for a visually engaging image.

A few weeks back I decided to grab my camera and head over to the Rady Shell at Jacobs Park in San Diego, CA. I spent the day there snapping photos at various angles and at different hours of the day. after sorting through at least 100 shots I narrowed the best down to the one seen below. I had no Idea that it would end up featured by the Symphony Orchestra itself!

The venue has served as a flawless rehearsal space for the San Diego Symphony orchestra and other musicians in addition to providing the City of San Diego with an architectural masterpiece set against its stunning skyline.

The shell’s interior lining is a perforated PVC that allows sound to pass through it, while the outer shell is lined with Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), a far more opaque material chosen to absorb sound for the most optimal acoustics.

Brief: Create a new logo for a new nail boutique. The result should be fun, creative, and layered.
Designer synopsis:
In my approach to designing this logo and establishing a new brand identity, I focused on creating a logo that reflected the process of layering often seen in every aspect of the beauty industry. It is ever present as well as prevalent in order to achieve the desired outcome which, if applied skillfully, results in a single solid work of art.

Today for Black History Month, I honor the African American Calvary that became known as the Buffalo Soldiers.

Originally they were members of the 10th Cavalry Regiment of the United States Army, formed on September 21, 1866, at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. This nickname was given to the Cavalry by Native American tribes who fought in the Indian Wars.
