🖤🌈 Nine Years. Still Orlando United.

Nine years ago today, just a half-mile from the business I poured my heart into, the unthinkable shattered our city. The Pulse nightclub shooting claimed 49 lives, wounded 53 more, and pierced a hole in the soul of Orlando—and in the heart of the LGBTQ+ community worldwide.

My sales manager and his husband had just left the club thirty minutes before the massacre. Thirty minutes. That detail still rattles in my chest like a warning bell that never stops ringing.

These bracelets—passed out within days of the tragedy—weren’t fashion. They were lifelines. I’ve worn mine every single day since. A reminder of loss, of love, and of the sacred responsibility to keep saying their names, demanding change, and refusing to let hatred have the last word.

Pulse was not “just a gay club.” It was sanctuary. Joy. Resistance. Family. And they tried to silence that. But Orlando rose up—fierce, defiant, and united. We still are.

To those we lost: We carry you.
To the survivors: We stand with you.
To the world: Love still wins.

This was not just an insult to the LGBTQ+ community—it was a calculated act of cruelty. You do not have to be gay to be outraged. You only have to be human.

To desecrate the legacy of a murdered public servant, a sailor, a patriot—just to score political points—reveals not strength, but cowardice of the highest order.

I had to get the oil changed and a little tune up today on my knee, and had the honor of meeting and hanging out with Vova (the giant), his wife, and his fellow warrior Dima from Ukraine. https://www.rsukraine.org/ Is a charity that gets them here to POA Orlando so they can be fitted with microprocessor knees and start getting comfortable with them. Most knees can run into 6 figures. Vova and Dima were friendly, grateful - and want nothing more than to get back in the fight against Putin - the sociopathic war criminal. I will end this with Slava Ukraini “Glory to Ukraine” and Heroyam Slava! (Glory to the heroes!)

It was my honor today, I’m sure I’ll see you next week fellas! SLAVA UKRAINI!!!!!!! 🇺🇦
