One of my favorite things about traveling is the people you meet - the interesting conversations, shared smiles and laughter, the stories they never expect to tell you, and the lessons they teach without even trying.
I met this kind man while he was working at a cozy art cafĂŠ. Heâs from Myanmar. As we talked, he shared that his entire family is still there, in the middle of an ongoing war. He told me he will likely never be able to go back. He misses them deeply. Hearing this made me tear up. Moments like this open your eyes and remind you how much we often take for grantedâŚ. how fortunate we are, especially in the U.S. Not a day goes by that Iâm not grateful for the privileges, opportunities, and life I have. đđť
Throughout this trip, Iâve met amazing people from Belgium, England, Amsterdam, the Netherlands, Germany, New Zealand, Russia, Australia, Switzerland, and so many other places. Different cultures, different languages, different lives⌠yet at the core, we are all the same. We all want love. We all want family. We all want peace, safety, and happiness.
Travel has a way of softening you, humbling you, and expanding your heart. It reminds you that the world is vast, but humanity is deeply connected. And sometimes, a simple conversation with a stranger can stay with you long after the journey ends.
