𝐇𝐎𝐋𝐃 𝐎𝐍, 𝐓𝐀𝐊𝐄 𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐄 𝐓𝐎 𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐃. 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐓𝐎𝐎 𝐂𝐀𝐍 𝐖𝐈𝐍 𝐀 𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐄 𝐁𝐈𝐆𝐆𝐄𝐑 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐇𝐔𝐆𝐄 𝐆𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐒 𝐖𝐈𝐓𝐇 𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐈𝐃𝐄𝐀𝐒.

We had spent all we had on fabricating different kinds of metals in the name of designing a prototype of the Crib A’glow Units.
At the point when I thought we had gotten it right, we tested the device again and noticed that it had failed. I cried.

I was at a crossroad because none of my businesses were functioning or raising money at least. I voiced out my frustrations to a friend and she said I could raise money from going for the Diamond Bank BET6 because she thought my innovation was laudable.
After being in doubt for a while, I eventually did.
Out of the 7,500 applications, I made it to top 50, top 15 and then the top 5 winners.

Guys! I was given a grant to continue working on my prototype and then make sure it works!!

1. There was no point giving up on my business/innovation anymore - money was obviously the problem and yes! I got it
2. My business went from idea stage to reality- we expanded
3. My business had more visibility from that year- We had not even gone global at this stage yet we had such wins!
4. My business received a lot more validation.

1. , Master farms- she owns a pig farm and processes pork!
2. Imaobong, U&I - produces and distributes palm oil
3. , Arndel Confectioneries- Kozee Kuli Kuli- she makes local snacks - Kuli Kuli got her that win
4. Anietie- an edutech solution for schools and students.

I can bet you thought it was only tech innovators like me that won grants 😃
