My latest animation for a Brazilian plastic surgeon.
In the full version of this animation, the topic of how the shape of the breast changes over time after implant placement is covered. I had to overlay pixels and crop the video to a short section because for some reason instagram recognized my animation as prohibited content and removed it a week ago. Can you imagine that? 🤯

Lately, I've started to practice a gesture drawing a lot. Exactly to draw something from life. And looking at this animation, I understand that this practice really gives results. Because when I was animating those hands, I was learning my own ones. And it turned out quite well 👌

Lately I have become very interested in drawing the human figure. While working on this sketch, I tried to focus on several aspects of the drawing at once. First, it's a twist. It was the main goal and as you can see, it makes the character look more dynamic. Then character silhouette. It should be readable. And of course, the character should be anatomically correct, but at the same time not too realistic, rather with a certain design.

I want to master this direction this year. The Figure Drawing. And to apply it in animation. It's just one of the most important skills in animation. I should have started learning this many years ago 😅

A couple of years ago, I was just crazy about animation special effects. I really got into this direction. Studied it as something sacred. At that time, I lived in Mexico, Costa Rica and other neighboring countries filled with rich nature. I watched a lot of water, plants, clouds. I studied nature and made some kind of discoveries. All special effects are based on natural phenomena. And accordingly, the closer you are to nature, the more you observe it, the more you understand how to display it through animation of special effects.

Well, more than one year has passed since then. And like any person, a lot changes in my life. Including the focus of my interest. Of course, I still have the skills to animate effects, but it became more interesting for me to animate the characters. Now I'm learning gesture drawing, and I'm going back to in-depth study of traditional animation. And I really believe that 2022 will be a year that will give a much deeper understanding of my craft.

In this illustration, I tried to portray my inner state.
I feel that something beautiful is coming and I am open to it. I would like to open the door, jump out onto the balcony and meet my fate with big arms, with a smile on my face and love in my heart.

New Year is approaching, and with it something interesting is coming. I can feel it. Reaching a new level. And I mean not only professional achievements. But a kind of growth overall. Access to a new level of life in general. A new quality. New understanding of life. A new sense of oneself in this world.
I want to keep this feeling. And I hope through my words and this illustration you will also be able to feel the pleasant wind of change and attract a piece of magic into your life! 🙏

Heeey fellows! So much has happened lately. I am absolutely delighted! But overall, I have 2 big news that I would like to share. First, my wife and I started our second major trip through Latin America and recently moved to Brazil. I hope the local flavor will have a positive effect on my work. If you want, I can share my adventures in stories :)

The second news is that for the last couple of months I have been working with the wonderful studio. Guys, thank you for the opportunity to join such interesting projects! Hopefully together we are implementing more than one cool project.

This animation, of course, is not quite in my style, but recently I was approached with a request for a very urgent help. I usually refuse such urgent projects. But here it was necessary to do only 6 seconds, and I thought why not. The challenge was to make it in 2 days) It is not convenient of course to animate characters created by someone else. Especially if they weren't created by an animator. After all, there is such a term as "animatable" character. Which is created according to certain principles, and not just as a beautiful illustration. But animators are always faced with it.. Do you agree with me?🥸

This post is just a kind of thinking out loud.
I’m developing a of the upcoming animation, and I thought it would be interesting for you to see the process. The first picture is the option to which I am most inclined so far. Then several hairstyles follow. Then the bw option, where, in my opinion, the light-and-shadow pattern is better matched. And at the end, the very initial sketch. What do you think? Maybe initial sketch is best solution?))
